AIS Workplace have begun work on one of our biggest projects yet – 56,750 sq ft spread over four floors, and a design scheme that supports innovation.
The project is an exiting progression for our client in growing their London presence after the completion of their first London office in the Cheesegrater which we completed back in 2017.
Located in Maidenhead the project has been designed around light, both natural and artificial.Engagement with the client has allowed us to understand each teams’ method of work and the way they communicate, enabling us to create a completely tailored design and layout.
The team conforms to more traditional ways of working, with each staff member having their own dedicated desk or office. Collaboration and connectivity concepts are still catered for throughout the space, with a diverse range of meeting spaces and collaboration zones scattered throughout the floor plates.
With the team spread across all four floors encouraging staff interaction away from their desks has been a key element in the overall design. In response our design team has created places that people will naturally gravitate to, including a large canteen area that occupies part of the ground floor, as well as an external café space and community break out area that includes soft seating and games tables for a more relaxed vibe.
