The end goal was to deliver a truly employee centric workplace that would create the very best environment for the organisations hard-working team, a workplace that created a culture where people loved coming to work, enabled interaction and encouraged collaboration.
Situated on the very east coast of Malta, the site has extraordinary ocean views which became a key aspect of the design resolution. The centrally located ‘hub’ area takes full advantage of ocean views and creates a multifunctional space available to all staff, with bleacher seating and theatre room for presentations, a full commercial style kitchen with canteen servery, dining area, two 18 person training rooms, and a games room complete with air hockey, arcade games and table tennis! Throughout the remaining two floors is a mixture of open plan desking located around the perimeter to allow access to ocean views, focus booths and dedicated project space. A variety of meeting rooms are scattered throughout the workplace, providing space for teams of 2, right up to 30.
The space in use is a real hub of energy, with staff drawn to break out and collaboration zones that in turn create interaction and encourage client’s communication. With the client’s project team placed in London, the project came with its’ challenges. The AIS Projects team coupled our local market knowledge along with experience working across borders throughout Europe to deliver this its project.
